Imagine if all that time on screens became time spent creating something original. In Videomaking & Photography Lab, middle schoolers trade scrolling for storytelling. Using whatever camera they have, even just a smartphone, they learn to observe, capture, and edit. To find the light. To frame the shot. To tell stories that matter to them. Through hands-on projects, they build skills in photography, videomaking, and editing, all while developing their creative voice and technical confidence.
Building on YCM’s foundational principles of curiosity and hands-on learning, students can gain a deep understanding of visual composition, lighting, and narrative structure. They also explore the work of photographers and filmmakers, both classic and contemporary, learning to see their own creative potential in a broader context.

We meet once a week from September through May, with breaks scheduled for Christmas, Carnival, and Easter, as well as national and local public holidays. Sessions are held at Via Giovanni Ambrogio de Predis 8, Milano.
The YCM Premiere
At the end of the year, your child’s work takes center stage. First, an exhibition of their still photos. Then, a screening of their videos in front of an audience of family and friends. It’s a celebration of months of effort, creativity, and growth, and a moment of pure pride for every young creator.
