Youth Chorus of Milan is where young performers discover the magic of Musical. From our youngest beginners exploring character and song to our most experienced students owning the stage in full productions, our musical programs grow with your child. Students develop their skills in singing, acting, and dancing, building confidence and stage presence along the way. Whether your child is taking their first bow or ready for a leading role, they’ll find a place to shine here. Because when kids perform, they discover who they are.
Ages 6-7
The perfect launchpad for young performers. Sing, move, and play your way to becoming a young musician. Build a strong foundation in music through fun, engaging activities.
Ages 8-10
Sing, act, and dance your way to the stage. Build confidence, make friends, and shine in a full musical production
Ages 11-13
Develop your skills in singing, acting, and movement. Work as an ensemble and build confidence on stage in a supportive, creative environment.
Ages 14-18
Refine your craft with advanced performance training. Take on leading roles, develop your stage presence, and own the spotlight in full productions.

*Music students (ages 6-7) choose either the Monday or the Wednesday section. The sections have the same program, learn the same repertoire, and perform together. And if your child has to miss a lesson on their chosen day, they are welcome to attend the other section’s class!
YCM’s Musical courses meet weekly after school from September through May at Via Solferino 17, Milan.

Musical Instructor
Francesca
Francesca has been dancing and singing since she was a kid, and she’s got the moves to prove it! From Broadway dreams to teaching tiny tots, Francesca loves sharing her passion for musical theater. Oh, and she’s also a professional dancer for events and shows, so you might catch her twirling around a stage near you. Franesca’s always learning and growing, and she can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Amy
Amy began her life in music as a chorister in a program quite similar to YCM! After a childhood in song, she went on to study music at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon where she sang in university ensembles and was selected as a student intern for the Portland Opera. Her academic career then culminated in a Master Degree of Music in Vocal Performance at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida where she performed as a soloist in chamber music concerts, oratorios, and in leading roles with the Florida State Opera. In Milan, where she has lived since 2007, she has continued to share her music with others as a performer, educator, and fellow musician.
