Meet the Ranger

Giulia is in her final year of middle school at an international school. She is truly “at home” in an international environment because of her intercultural background. Indeed, three languages are spoken in her home which celebrates its American, Italian, and Puerto Rican heritages.

Giulia has been singing for as long as she can remember, but started her formal training when she was in the fifth grade. That training included voice lessons with YCM’s Artistic Director Amy Barton, but has also included participation in her school choir and piano studies. Last year she auditioned for and was accepted to the Matilda Italian Academy at Teatro Litta, and has now begun her second year with the company as part of their intensive training program where she practices all three skills necessary for the stage: singing, acting and dancing!

Giulia’s favorite part of being a YCM Ranger is helping kids live the same musical experiences she has lived and loved. She does this by serving as a section leader and early bird activities coordinator for the YCM monthly workshops.
